Discover No Name Pizza

There’s something charming about walking into a neighborhood spot that feels effortlessly cool yet unpretentious, and that’s exactly the vibe at No Name Pizza, tucked away at 2250 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33127, United States. From the outside, it’s got that low-key Wynwood energy-vibrant murals, the faint hum of nearby music, and the comforting scent of fresh dough meeting open flame. Inside, the atmosphere is lively but relaxed, where locals mingle with travelers over slices that make you rethink what you thought you knew about pizza.

The first thing you notice here isn’t just the décor-it’s the smell. That perfect blend of charred crust and bubbling mozzarella sets the tone. Their menu keeps things exciting without being overwhelming. Whether you’re into the classic margherita or adventurous enough to try their truffle mushroom pie, every bite speaks of craftsmanship. The dough is hand-stretched daily, fermented for forty-eight hours, and baked in a wood-fired oven that gives each pizza that crisp, smoky edge. It’s the kind of crust that holds its own, balancing chewiness and crunch in a way that few places master.

On my last visit, I tried their spicy honey pepperoni pizza-thin slices of pepperoni cupped just enough to catch pools of golden honey. That touch of sweetness with a hint of heat was genius. It reminded me of a chef friend from New York who once told me that great pizza isn’t about toppings; it’s about balance. Here, that philosophy shines through. Even their side dishes deserve attention-the charred broccolini with lemon zest and the garlic knots are worth ordering twice.

Beyond the food, the team behind the counter clearly knows their craft. You can tell they take pride in every pie. According to a 2024 report by the National Restaurant Association, independent pizzerias like this are seeing a resurgence, driven by a growing demand for authenticity and local flavor. No Name Pizza fits perfectly into that movement. They source ingredients from regional farms and use high-quality cheeses like fior di latte and pecorino Romano. The result is pizza that feels both artisanal and approachable.

If you’re someone who loves exploring new restaurant locations in Miami, this spot should be high on your list. The area around Wynwood has no shortage of trendy eateries, but few capture the sense of community that this place does. The staff greets you like they’ve known you for years, and the casual setup makes it easy to linger over another slice or share a second bottle of wine. On weekends, expect a short wait-locals have caught on-but it’s worth it.

From an experiential point of view, this place feels more like a gathering space than just a diner. Families, foodies, and even the occasional celebrity stop in, drawn by word-of-mouth rather than marketing. Food critics from local outlets like Miami New Times have noted its “rustic charm” and “perfectly blistered crusts,” echoing what regulars already know. And while Miami has its fair share of famous pizza joints, few manage to blend consistency, creativity, and comfort so effortlessly.

One thing that stands out about dining here is how fresh everything tastes. You can literally watch the chefs prepare your meal in an open kitchen, tossing dough with the ease of years of experience. I asked one of them about their technique-he explained that they use a high-hydration dough, which makes the crust lighter and airier. It’s a small detail, but those are often what make the biggest difference.

Online reviews back up the hype. Dozens of five-star ratings highlight not only the food but also the friendly service and inviting atmosphere. Whether it’s your first time or your fiftieth, there’s something deeply satisfying about grabbing a slice straight from the oven, a cold drink in hand, and knowing you’ve stumbled on one of Miami’s hidden gems.

So if you find yourself wandering through Wynwood, looking for a spot that captures the city’s creative spirit while serving up seriously good pizza, follow the scent of freshly baked dough. It’ll lead you right to the corner of flavor and comfort at 2250 NW 2nd Ave-where every bite feels like a discovery, and every visit feels like coming home.

  • Really good pizza! The crust, the dough, the cheeses, everything—five star quality. (I tried a white pizza, so I can’t opine as to the red sauce.) Easily 5 star based on what I ordered; recommend!

  • First time we went they didn’t have service so the owner reached out and we went a second time and finally got to try the food. This is one of the top Detroit style pizza in the area. Pizza was perfectly crispy on the bottom with a nice texture on the inside and a crunchy top with an excellent blend of toppings. They have great options, we got to try the mushroom truffle and the Pepe (half on each side) and they were both amazingly tasteful. They have definitely upped the Detroit style pizza game in Miami with these new different topping options. Please note that this is not an indoor restaurant so sitting is limited and there’s no AC, recommend it as a pick up to be enjoyed at the comfort of your own home.

  • I love the pizza so much! I've gotten two types of pizza now now, the El Pepe and Pesto Roni and omg! The pizzas are so crisp, fresh, and just overall yummy. I personally love the airy-ness of the pizza, the tomatoes sauce is delicious and the pepperoni is crunchy, the cheese is stretchy. The cheese on the pesto Roni is creamy. YUM!

  • Shrimp Scampi Pizza. That's all I got. SOLD!!! We attended the South Florida Seafood Festival and tried several different food items from different vendors. My oldest saw pizza and it was all over. Lol. The neon sign catches your attention almost immediately too, "Feed me pizza and tell me I'm pretty!" Haha. Brilliant. We walked up and they had a sign for Shrimp Scampi Pizza! Say what? I've seen pizza places with clam pizza and I've been dying to try that so this Shrimp Scampi Pizza sounded unique and perfect for the Seafood Festival. I was chatting with the guy at the cash register about the Shrimp Scampi Pizza and he said I would love it. It's a no brainer. He said he created it just for the event. Sold. I asked if No Name Pizza was his place and he said yes. His name is Eric. Really nice and super friendly dude. I also asked if they had a permanent location and he confirmed that this was their usual spot at Wynwood Marketplace. The vibe here is cool. You can also order their pizza from DoorDash and Uber Eats. Good to know. Got the Shrimp Scampi Pizza and it was just as good as Eric promised. We took our first bite and DAMNNNNNNN!!! Let me start off by saying I'm totally a thin crust pizza gal. This thick crust was ridiculously good! Super crispy edges and chewy inside. The crust is everything. I am convinced they put cheese on the exterior to make it super crispy and tasty. The shrimp scampi flavor was so good. Eric, you need to add this to your regular menu!!! I also got a plain cheese pizza for my daughter. We saw it come fresh out of the oven and it melted in your mouth. You can hear the crunch as they were cutting it. They topped it off with pizza sauce, basil and freshly grated parmesan cheese. Perfect. Funny as we were walking around eating our pizza, Eric saw us and came over to ask how the shrimp scampi pizza was. I told him we loved it. Turns out he was doing a good demo at The Kitchen Lab for the event too and was making the Shrimp Scampi Pizza. Ha. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other pizza options. By the way, this is Detroit style pizza. I checked out the menu and want the Mushroom Truffle, Jess Marie, White Hawaiian and White Roni. Everything looks BOMB!!!

  • Hands down, this pizza is out of this world. Tried the White Roni and it was perfect. The bread is the best pizza dough I've ever had. Thick but light and airy. It's covered in crispy cheese. The pepperoni was meaty and crispy. The ranch dressing just elevated the slice. Need to come back and try ALL the different pies. Come eat this asap!
